First Communion/First Reconciliation
These are important sacraments, usually administered to children in second grade in school, or to adults through the RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults).
We will address the following to parents of children in second grade:
We, as a Catholic Community, wish for all Catholic children, who have attained the appropriate age, to receive the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Penance (Confession).
The family of the child receiving the sacraments must be registered parishioners of St. Bernard Catholic Church
If the family is registered in another Church Parish and is requesting that their child take part in St. Bernard Church Parish First Communion/First Reconciliation program, a letter of approval from the pastor of their Church Parish is required.
A child seeking these sacraments must be in the 2nd grade.
The family submits a copy of their child's baptism certificate.
Downloadable forms for registering the child(ren) can be found in the Religious Education tab of this website.
