Sacrament of Confirmation
Preparation Program
10th & 11th Grade
Welcome to your sacramental prep year for the sacrament of confirmation!
Please see below about registration, requirements for the program, and information about sponsors and saint names.
Registration opens on July 3rd and closes on August 15th for all students confirming this year (10th and 11th grade).
Each candidate will need to select a sponsor for confirmation. The sponsor cannot be a parent of the student. Sponsor must be in good standing with the Catholic Church, be at least 16 years old, and fully initiated into the Catholic Church (has received baptism, the Eucharist, and confirmation), and display a visible commitment to living out the Catholic faith.
The sponsor is expected to attend all the sessions with the confirmation student.
Each student will select a saint name for confirmation. This is the name of a saint that you are choosing to intercede for you, as you prepare for confirmation and throughout your life as a confirmed Catholic. They should be a saint that you look up to and wish to imitate as a Christian. See the saint name form for tips on how to choose your saint.
Each student will do an interview with Fr. McIntyre. After you register, you will be sent an email where you can sign-up for an interview slot. Please sign-up as soon as possible. You will need to bring your sponsor form and saint name form to the interview.
See below for the class schedule, and the sponsor and saint name forms, which should be turned in at the interview.
